The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a school-based organization with a mission to create a better learning environment for students. It involves parents working together with teachers to volunteer in classrooms, organize fundraising events for school supplies, and support the school's initiatives. PTA members are parent volunteers. While some schools have large PTAs with formal structures like officers, a bookkeeper, and an operating budget, others function effectively with only a few dedicated parents. PTAs are often affiliated with the National PTA, whereas PTOs (Parent Teacher Organizations) refer to similar groups without a formal connection to the National PTA.

Welcoming Members

Sr. Lalitha Mary, Principal, extended a warm welcome to all the members of the Executive Committee of the PTA of Carmel Convent School for the academic year 2020-2021. She noted that the requisite quorum for the meeting was present and called the meeting to order. The agenda was tabled as circulated with the Notice of the meeting to all members. The agenda was unanimously adopted for the First Executive Committee Meeting of the PTA.
